How many restrooms does a wedding need?
A 6-hour wedding with a bar needs 1 unit per 40 guests plus 1 per 100 guests for alcohol. A 150-guest wedding therefore needs 6 units. A two-stall restroom trailer handles about 100 guests on its own, so 150 guests need the trailer plus 2 flushing units.
| Guests | Single units (6 hrs, bar) | Or restroom trailer setup |
|---|---|---|
| 75 | 3 units | 1 two-stall trailer |
| 100 | 4 units | 1 two-stall trailer |
| 150 | 6 units | Two-stall trailer + 2 flushing units |
| 200 | 7 units | Two-stall trailer + 3 flushing units |
Restroom trailer or flushing porta potties for a wedding?
A restroom trailer suits weddings that have a garden hose and a 110-volt outlet within 50 feet. Flushing porta potties suit sites with neither. A trailer has porcelain toilets, running-water sinks, lights and climate control. Flushing units need no hookups and cost less per guest.

Where should wedding restrooms go?
Wedding restrooms should sit 50–100 feet from the dining tent, downwind, on level ground, with a lit path. Too close and guests notice; too far and older guests struggle at night. Face doors away from the ceremony view and toward the path. Add solar path lights for evening receptions.

When should I book wedding restrooms?
Book wedding restrooms 4–8 weeks ahead for May through September Saturdays. Restroom trailers book first; reserve them 2 months ahead for peak dates. Flushing units usually remain available 2–3 weeks out. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before delivery, so booking early carries little risk.
Wedding restroom questions
Do wedding porta potties smell?
Wedding units arrive pumped, scrubbed and charged with fresh deodorizer, so they start with no odor. Flushing units hide waste under a trap, which removes most smell. In July and August heat, we add extra deodorizer and recommend shade.
Can you send pictures of the wedding units?
We text or email real photos of the flushing units and restroom trailers, inside and out, before you book. The trailer and flushing-unit photos on this page are our own equipment.
Will guests be able to see the waste in a wedding porta potty?
In a standard unit, the blue deodorizer tank is visible under the seat. In a flushing unit, a foot pedal rinses waste into the tank below, so guests do not see it. That is the main reason couples choose flushing units.
Can the wedding units be serviced between the rehearsal and the reception?
A mid-event service between a Friday rehearsal and a Saturday reception costs $65 per unit and happens Saturday morning. Trailer servicing is quoted with the trailer.
